Hello everyone,

During the past months I have been cooking a project in my mind: an organization on the lines of VIVA but directed toward audiences in the middle-east. This is desperately needed here, as there are tens of thousands of obstacles standing in the way of the vegetarian / vegan message, beginning with the religious and ending with the political.

The purpose of this organization is to promote the cruelty-free lifestyle in words that people in this part of the world would understand. I have spoken with a few local agencies who have expressed their willingness to support me, but a project like this will never work without international pressure from strong institutions.

Does anyone have any insight which agencies are best to contact?

Thanks :)

I can lie down and sleep;
Or think on Him who bore thy name,
Graze after thee and weep."

I wish I could offer advice, but I wouldn't even know where to start.

However, I would like to wish you the very best of luck with this :)

Hiya! That sounds like an absolutely BRILLIANT idea!! :D :D :D

I've done a bit of googling and found these, you might know of them already but if not these might help:

http://www.bayyinat.org.uk/animals.htm

http://re-xs.ucsm.ac.uk/theanimalprojec ... lOrgs.html - loads of links on this one, about different religions and vegetarianism. Just bear in mind I've not checked their contents!

Good luck and let us know how it goes! :D
