An interview with an incredible idiot

Postby compassionategirl » Mon Nov 20, 2006 7:14 am

I can see why Paul Watson is constantly butting heads with this guy, and why he calls this guy a 'corporate whore' and an environmental sell out. You will not believe what Moore says in this interview. I wonder if he thinks that all this talk about the world being round and not flat is also hocus pocus double talk?

Enjoy!

Interview with Dr. Patrick Moore

By Brandon Swain, Co-Editor (CCM)

Swain: Thank-you for agreeing to do this interview Dr. Moore. Your critics in the environmental movement accuse you of selling them out. What is your response?

Moore: My critics are not environmentalists. They are simply gloom and doom prophets and eco loonies, looking to enrich themselves by scaring the general public into believing in threats that don’t exist. The world is not threatened by global warming or pollution. Civilization has created a protection for all humans from the cruelties of nature. These Luddites would have us return to the barbarism of the past. I have faith that science and technology will solve any problem that confronts us.

Swain: Sea Shepherd President Paul Watson, your fellow co-founder of Greenpeace accuses you of betraying the environmental movement and has called you a “corporate whore”?

Moore: Watson is an idiot and has no credibility whatsoever. He was not a co-founder of Greenpeace. He was nothing then and he is nothing now. He’s simply profiting from his business of scaring people.

Swain: Greenpeace also is critical of you. They also say you have sold-out?

Moore: When I was president of Greenpeace Canada and sitting on the international board, I tried to knock some common sense into the doom and gloomers. In the end the pessimists won and now control the organization. The truth is that I was there in the beginning, the first to block a harpoon, the first to lead a successful campaign to protect seals and I was there when the Rainbow Warrior was sunk in New Zealand in 1985. I was with Greenpeace when it meant something. Since then the values of the organization have been corrupted and influenced by liberal and leftist agendas. They are now opposing alternative energy solutions like nuclear power, the only hope we have for a clean source of sustainable and cheap energy.

Swain: So do you believe that nuclear energy is the answer to the global warming problem?

Moore: I don’t believe there is a global warming problem. There may be global warming taking place. The science is not conclusive. If so it may not be a bad thing. For example we will have longer growing seasons in Canada. I do believe that nuclear energy is the answer to our energy needs. It is a clean renewable energy source. Science has solved the problem of nuclear waste disposal. The used fuel can be recycled. Those who reject nuclear power are betraying their children. Nuclear power will be our salvation.

Swain: Speaking of salvation. Do you believe that God will look out for us?

Moore: I can’t believe that God would allow us to destroy ourselves. Yes, I do believe that God is watching over us.

Swain: You’re a strong supporter of farmed salmon are you not?

Moore: Yes I am. I think that salmon farms can provide much needed protein and can take pressure off of wild salmon stocks. The opposition to farmed salmon makes absolutely no sense. These critics have no idea about what it is they are talking about. Salmon farming is a sustainable industry that does not cause any ecological damage.

Swain: While doing research for this interview, I was reading that an Alexandra Morton has said that salmon farming spreads sea lice to wild populations of salmon and there is a mass die-off of wild fish because of this. Is this true?

Moore: Absolutely not. There is no scientific credibility to her argument at all.

Swain: Can you elaborate?

Moore: There is no need to elaborate. I have no intention of dignifying her pseudo-scientific theories.

Swain: What about other critics like Dr. David Suzuki, Farley Mowat, Rafe Mair and why have you attacked Rachel Carson?

Moore: You mean Hardly Knowit? Suzuki has made a fortune from scaring people and Rafe Mair is a cheap talk show host. I’m not concerned about what they have to say. Rachel Carson has already been discredited. Her scaremongering over the myth of DDT has killed millions of children who have died from malaria. Her book has killed more people than Mein Kampf. She was the green Hitler. In fact these so called environmentalists are simply thugs. I call them the Green Shirts.

Swain: What about Al Gore?

Moore: He’s looking to make a run for President again and he thinks he can scare people into voting for him by setting up a scare that only he can address. An Inconvenient Truth is simply a convenient lie.

Swain: Why did you establish Green Spirit?

Moore: I feel there is a need for someone to speak honestly to the public about the state of the environment. The public is so overwhelmed with lies from the environmental movement that they are confused and bewildered about what is really happening. The fact is that people need lumber and therefore we need to cut down tress. People need to eat so we need fish farms. We need biogenetic engineering to increase crop yields and we need renewable energy.

Swain: Would you consider the environmental movement to be anti-Christian?

Moore: Yes they are anti-Christian, anti-God, anti-people and anti-civilization. They always see the glass as half empty. I prefer to see the glass half full.

Swain: Are you hopeful for the future?

Moore: Very much so. I don’t think there is a problem that human ingenuity and resourcefulness will not be able to solve.

Swain: Environmentalist want to lower human populations by advocating abortions and by convincing people to have less children? Do you support this position?

Moore: I don’t believe in killing children including the unborn. Human beings are our greatest hope. Who knows, but one of those aborted babies could have been the next Einstein or the next Martin Luther King Jr.. I prefer to embrace life.

Swain: Thank-you Dr. Moore

It's actually quite hilarious. He sounds like Hitler in Mein Compf.

"The sky is blue therefore the Jews are evil". Stuff like that except "I don't want to explain myself, therefore i am right" in this nutjobs case.

Ya exactly. "Care to elaborate on why so and so is wrong and you are right?". "No, there is no need to elaborate because I am right and she is wrong." A very valid and persuasive method of argument, "Dr. "Moore.
Apparently he isnt even a real doctor. And anybody who compares Rachel Carson to Hitler is.... there is no word.
