Vegan Fitness London Meet up and training session

Postby GenTDuke » Thu Jul 28, 2005 2:03 pm

Hi all, my self and Tarz (Matt) are planning on doing some training together in a few weeks: Anyone else wanna join in? Lurkers are welcome.

We will probably hit Tarzs gym in Camden which will let you train as a guest for £8 or £10

According to Tarz "My gym has very good free weights. If you wanted to go my gym in Camden there is one of those Thai vegan restauarant 30secs away, and also a Fresh & Wild nearby. If we went to Camden Market, there's loadsa vegan choices there too. It just depended if you wanted a bit of a day out around Camden"

We dont mind training on our own but thought it would be cool to encourage otheres along and meet new VF.net people.

's a bit far for me, but I think it's a great idea (would definitely want to meet up for the nosh afterwards! ;))! Hope people are going to respond to the invite and come along with you guys. Oh and ehhhh, we'll want pictures to gawk at and be envious (for those who can't make it)! :)

Another idea, although it don't apply to me as I'll be in Thailand at the time :D - I guess a few people will be coming down to London for the Vegan Festival on Sunday 25th September, maybe it could also be arranged for some kind of meet-up and exercise/work-out at some point during the day somewhere??

Annoyed I'm missing the festival though.

Anyway, as Tom has already posted we will be meetin up some time in August if any one fancies it? We can meet up either on a weekday evening or the weekend, whatever is more convenient, makes no odds to me.

Yeah be good to catch up with you JP again too :)

No problem for me - I usually make it to Camden after work around 6pm but I can finish work a bit earlier if need be. The only thing is the gym may be pretty busy around then - all the after work crowd - so training later may be better - about 8pm but that may be too late??

Forgot to say that the Thai restaurant is one of these all you can eat for six squid places :D

You've obviously not eaten "against" Joni then! That'd be one competition I'd love to watch! You do realise tho, that that will be the end of them offereing "all you can eat" for 6 quid?! Don't think they relish the idea of going bankrupt just yet!

oi! I'm on a diet! ;)

hey 8pm sounds really late if we are to eat afterwards?

my course goes on till 4.30 each day and it is in Euston - thats not far from Camden is it?

So starting at 5.30 would probably be ok with me if it suits you guys? I know the rush at the gym can be a bit irritating, but i don't personally mind especially since there is a crew of us anyway.

This would leave more time for eating 8)

Joni - yep Euston is very close to Camden - one stop on the tube or you can walk it in around 15mins. 5.30 is fine for me whichever day.
