That'll do me - I'm too old for 11-a-side!

I'm too knackered.

Neil is peeved. Last time he played football was in the park with Séamus about three years ago. He was in his wheelchair, as though he could still walk he couldn't run about at the time. You probably know he used to run kids footy and rugby in Manchester. He is annoyed he can't play football at all any more, even racing around in his chair.

I am just astonished to think that Séamus' able bodied dad never played football with him.

Off topic. Sorry!

Are you still playing Rags? I understand you run rings around the young meat heads.

The schedule looks great. There's quite a lot I'd like to have a crack at, though I'm probably going to chicken out of the lifting events.

I'd also be up for some 5-a-side if others are into it.

Whether I attend or not relies on Neil's health, and I can't say it is looking good at the moment. After the debacle on Monday we have had to have the district nurse out, and Neil's doctor has had to represcribe him blood pressure tablets, because the pain has sent his blood pressure up again. Normally it is fine despite the renal transplant. But pressure sores trigger spasm, which heightens blood pressure.

I am furious with the Kingston Green Fair. I hope we do better next week. If Neil is recovered enough we want to go to Camden.
