[quote="JP"]hey which day is the MAX DEADLIFT day? friday?

yup friday is looking good now that it's been scuppered for wvd.. we can cancel the twister session for it maybe :)

[quote="JP"]and any chance to do olympic lifting during our stay?

should be doable.. either we can organise to train at hayden's gym (?) or failing that see if we can use the platform at melb uni.

I can imagine Wilks' response already. "You're all vegetarians? Go to the pizza shop and eat a BBQ Meat Pizza then come back and do your deadlifts, you'll lift 20% more". Following that he'll sign everyone up for a comp.

I know Paul won't like us using the platforms in the normal gym cos it will make too much noise, but the Elite Sports Performance part of the gym is a possibility, heaps of bumpers and other fun equipment. I'm not sure how he would feel about opening it up specially for us but I will find out tomorrow. Should find out if Wilks will let us lift, in case Paul says no

Updated schedule a bit due to certain restaurants not being open on certain days.

Here are the details for the hot dog eating contest:

- Contest time = 10 minutes.
- We'll be using frys hot dogs in white bread buns.
- Puking = disqualification, even if you swallow it
- Water or other beverages are allowed
- Sauce, mustard etc. allowed but not recommended

How's it all going?

I hate that I have 3 exams next week. I would like to hear about the awesomeness that I am missing out on.

My whole body aches from Jui Jitsu yesterday. I couldn't even walk properly at work today.

at the airport leaving melbourne...

What a great week! Thanks to all the hosts and everyone - we really enjoyed ourselves and were sad to leave.

The week went by so fast! The VEW was a success for us (Vegan Eating Week), i gained solid 2kg of fat :D

Melbourne has amazing range of veg places to eat and so many vegan options its mindblowing. Can take on many of the worlds "vegan hotspots" for sure. I didnt realise it was so far ahead in this.

The vegan fair as well was pretty damn impressive especially when you think how australia is geographically - in comparison to for instance london vegan fairs which draws people from all over england.

It was an honour to finally meet the legendary MVS crew and to get some training in with them as well :D And we got to meet a lot of local vegans and many lurking/registered members of VF as well. And the lovely bubbly Helmut of course :D

Special thanks to Hardcore IV for ferrying us around and getting the eating plan nailed down to detail  and of course our generous hosts Hannibal and "Bokchoibitch" (is that really your screen name? ).

We are in a debt of gratitude to you all!

MELBOURNE ROCKS!

My only disappointment was my insanely busy schedule which meant I only got to catch Joni and Rochelle twice. I'll come to VFW overseas and make up for my dismal appearance.

Glad to know you had fun.
