[quote="theblackcat"]Just noticed this. I usually do 40 to 50 to warm up for benching and considering I hold the record for the clapping press up challange, I take the responsibility to blitz the 100 reps mark.

So is it 40 or 50? Or should we just wait until you nail the 100?

You can put me down for 38. I sometimes do 40 and once I managed 50, but have never been able to do it again. Today I couldn't even do 40... but I will do that 50 again one day!!

So has anyone reached 100 yet? How's Patte doing?
I haven't really committed to this, but did 32 last time I tried so
a slight improvement.

I gave up since no one is challenging me :P

Seriously though, I've been so preoccupied with writing my dissertation that the last time I worked out was probably when I was doing those 80 pushups.

I'm hoping to be back in a couple of days to get the 100 reps done...

Much has been said, but no one has claimed to have done it yet.
Anyone taken any videos?

I did a hundred a while back, but I'm not exactly certain it qualifies for the challenge as my form was pretty crappy towards the end. I'll see if I can get a video taken this weekend.

Before I started weight training I did this - http://hundredpushups.com/. I nailed a hundred in one set about 8 months ago haven't done any push up since. i'm going to try them on my next upper body max rep day and see how many i can get. I'm pretty sure I can get top 5 on this challenge by wednesday!

I just did a disappointing 40. I'll see if I can get that back up to a nice number next weekend.

30.

Does anybody else get clicky elbows when they do this btw - or is it just an anatomical curiousity of my own?

Well done John.

Make sure you warm up, stretch, maybe do a few easy and slow before trying a big set.

Good to get you on the table. I have the odd click occasionally in my elbow which feels awkward so I normally move the position slightly and it goes.

Depends if its painful I suppose and if it continues every rep or just the first couple.

Wish I had a video camera to document this!
