Old Sig, New Log.
Bests: 75kg Clean and Jerk, 55kg (Power) Snatch, 90kg Front Squat, 100kg Back Squat.
Crackpipe 2008 Goals:220kg total and 85 kg.
Real Goals: Buy a crack pipe.

Did a few unlogged workouts but will be logging them again. Keeping track of what I eat will begin anew, as that's the only way I seem to bulk. I won't post it as it's too much work and not very exciting. Got a pic of my Snatch from the provincials.

so the plan is to compete in 85s this year? I think its wise for you to pack on some bodyweight at your height for sure.

Good luck with the goal mate, it is a high one, but if you dont slack, work hard and eat well, then i think it is doable.

I second what JP said above :) .

Thanks folks. Eating is for sure the biggest thing to work on. I can also make a lot of gains by improving my form, but that's been coming along nicely already. Long way to go still.

Nice workout today. Lots of folks around Power Plus tonight. Will most likely be going to a comp on the 26th or 27th.

Snatch Compound
Straight Legged Snatch - Power Snatch+Behind the Neck Press - Drop Snatch
(4+3+2)x25
(4+3+2)x27.5
2x(2+2+2)x32.5
2x(2+2+2)x37.5 Behind the Neck Press hard at this weight.
Drop Snatches getting much better. Still need to interact with the bar more.

Snatch
3x30
2x35
2x40
2x45 - Like a rocket
2x1x50 - Easy
1x52.5 -Easy
1x55
5xfx57.5 - Getting closer each time.
1x50
1x55
2xfx57.5
1x57.5- PB w/ some pressout.(So won't go on table). Took about 10 seconds to steady myself but got it! I just don't give up. 8th time's the charm

Good Morning
3x45
4x52.5
4x4x60
Easy

Squat
3x60
2x4x70
6x3x80
Easy

Told Larry about my 45kg and 48kg Striaght Legged Snatch the other day and he was pretty impressed. I think/hope I'll see some big Snatch gains with this program.

Oh yeah, I feel like I was hit by a truck.

Hey, solid mental effort going after the PB eight times :D . I would have given up long before that I think. Have to say though, trainingwise I am not convinced it is optimal to hunt PBs that hard ;) .

Nice work you skinny bastard! :D Squat or power snatch?

What do you mean when you say there was a pressout. You mean you caught it on straight arms but your elbow unlocked in the bottom position? Or do you mean you partially muscle snatched it because you over-pulled and didn't sit in fast enough? Or something else entirely?!
“Begin at the beginning,” the King said gravely, “and go on till you come to the end. Then stop.”

Ninearms - I mean I didn't sit in fast enough so caught it with slightly bent arms and push it out a bit.
Bronco - Multiple tries at weights I can't do seem good at teaching me to get farther under. Maybe not the best method, but it's fun :)
Also I was so close most tries that people were encouraging me to keep trying.

You've gotten noticeably bigger since when you started! Good work!

How have your max-weights improved?
"The worker has the right to leave his boss, but can she do it? And if she does quit him, is it in order to lead a free life; where she will have no master but herself? No, she leaves to sell herself to another employer. She's driven by the same hunger. Thus the worker's liberty is only a theoretical freedom, lacking any means of realization; an utter falsehood."

Thanks, I thought you'd enjoy the title.

Thanks! I love it when people say I'm bigger, because I'm lighter now then this time last year.

Max weights are going up every month or two for the important stuff, pretty steady for other stuff I'd guess.

Pretty hardcore clean there, Wobbly. Strong split squat, too :D Looks like the weight itself isn't much of a problem for you, just the racking? Also wondering if it hurt landing on your knees like that ... I winced watching the vid

Don't complain when your knees hurt - and don't blame squatting :P

Hey, how comes your log says 60kg and the vid says 85kg?
