finally went out and bought myself a 12" piece of 1-1/2" steel plumbers pipe and made myself a new wrist roller. this is so much more intense than my old 1" roller. did a session with it and my forearms were pulsating with only a couple complete rolls at 10 lbs. i need to buy a loading pin so i can bring it to the gym with me.
train hard,
david

thats great man - thick bars are the essence of grip strength! Though you probably could have gone for something close to 2 1/2 inch - can't remember the exact measurement, but the width olympic bars loading parts are, thats usually the "standard". Anyways, any step thicker is a good one!

yeah, i plan to go up to 2" and beyond someday. 1/2" at a time for now. the difference between the 1-1/2 and 1 is huge though. i'm not even sure my old roller was an inch. where's a ruler when you need one
