Fun responses for vegans

Postby cafenervosa » Wed Nov 23, 2005 8:06 pm

When they are asked by omnis why they don't eat animals (or any animal products)....

"I do it just to bother you...I see it's working splendidly."

"I do it to make you ask questions."

"I'm not a vegan because I love animals, I'm a vegan because I hate plants!" (Insert sarcastic sense of humor here)

"I do it so I don't end up looking like you."

Feel free to chime in with any of you own witty responses!! We can come up with a whole arsenal of fun counter arguments for the next time someone wants to pick a fight with you based on how you eat.

They are good, especially the first two. I am going to remember those and try them out at the next available opportunity!

What do you eat if you are vegan?

- stones and pinecones

- oh, its really limited, theres only about 6000 edable plants, and then couple hundred thousand things you can make from them

I'm a vegetarian, but i eat fish

- What do you have against fish?!?

Why are you vegan?

- because factory farming is fucking disgusting and pisses me off no end (and thats actually what i say quite often...)

Are you vegan because you love animals?

- no, in fact i can't stand most of them, but then again i am against racism and i don't exactly love black people more than normal!

I usually just tell people I'd rather be nice to animals than eat them

[quote="Mary"]Why not?

I find that to be a very good answer :). I dont see why one would need a reason not to support use of animals, makes much more sense for the people who do to present a reason.
[quote="JP"]Spirulina is a badass crew, and they often just hang around in street corners looking to beat up proteins.

They oftenget confused by the fact that they are almost half protein themselves.

Hi everyone!

I'm new. I had to join after I read Mango's toenail response. Now I can't wait for someone to ask me how I get ______? I think scabs would do in the conversation as well. Nice to meet you all!

G'day all. I hope this isn't too extreme, but I often say "I was tripping on acid in the Indian Himalaya when this multi coloured cow approached me and gave me a full lecture on the evils of eating meat." Then I change the subject with "How about that traffic, eh?"
