The sonics - strychnine

Those guys kicked some serious ass during the 60s. Rumour has it the guitarist stabbed an icepick through the speaker to get a rawer sound :D .

Cool :D ! They're one of my favourites also. I find it kind of amazing that anyone could play music that hard in the early 60s.
If you've lost your LP maybe it's time to invest in a new one, i beleive the records are available on reissued vinyl, at least they were some years ago. Even though I agree it might be best to enjoy the sonics on vinyl, a CD could be an option also ;).

yeah, sonics are best on vinyl- scratches and all, the way it should be
I think I'll have to settle for CD. Thanks for mentioning them, I'd completely forgotten how much used to listen to them. PSYCHO!

Do you listen to Link Wray? He used to poke holes in his amp speaker with a screwdriver, back in the 50s, to get a more distorted sound

I haven't seen them either, despite lots of chances. Mainly beacuase I don't think I would like it too much,.
