[quote="wannalift"][quote="beforewisdom"][quote="wannalift"]I eat the same things almost every day. Very often the exact same things at the exact same quantities. It's not nearly as bad as the tittybabies on here are making it out to be.
I don't think I've mentioned enough how much I appreciate the high caliber of conversation and maturity here.
IMO, using pejoratives befitting of an adolescent doesn't make a contribution to muscle growth, strength, conditioning or health. It doesn't even make you seem tougher.
Fair enough, but the amount of 'internet science' and armchair psychology already in the this thread is rather disconcerting. The concept of a wide variety of food is a rather new one for humans and to infer that it is a biological and psychological necessity to have such is utter horsefeathers. Provided that you are getting all of the required vitamins, minerals and macronutrients, you can live a perfectly healthy life without a wide variety of different foods. Over half of the world goes to bed without getting enough calories to sustain themselves and people here are worried they might eat the same thing two or three days in a row and develop some kind of debilitating physical or psychological disease? Come on.
I agree, a bunch of tittybabies!
Also, that doctor should lose her job. Food is not an allergen. Google says 4% of people have any kind of food allergy, and those people are meant to have died in the natural world. We should not base our lives on what they cannot eat. I have a fair few allergies, so I assume that means I am prone to allergies, but I've had no issues eating soy foods, beans, wheat, nuts, and seeds daily for the past 12 years.
EVERYONE SHOULD BE EATING BEANS, NUTS, AND SEEDS EVERY DAY.

[quote="beforewisdom"][quote="sergio"]Come on, tittybabies doesn't count as an insult!
But it is juvenile and one of the nice things about VF is that it is an oasis of intelligent fact based, mature, conversation among anything but among other exercise and vegan forums.
Agreed. Not too much beef here (pun intended).
I accidentally replaced all of my blood with coffee.

[quote="jpowell"][quote="Goob"]Google says 4% of people ... are meant to have died in the natural world.
Wow, that's harsh. Google may do a lot of trash talking, though, since it doesn't discriminate ideas... so-called "white pride", the importance of eating red meat to be classified as a man, why we must all become Islamic jihadists, .... you get the picture.
Google has never told me any of that stuff. Must be your line of questioning
My point is, people don't develop allergies by being exposed to things that do not cause them any irritation. Only ~4% of people are allergic to foods, that's not very many and nobody should worry about being one of those people till something happens to suggest they might be one of them. It doesn't matter how allergic someone else is, if you aren't allergic, then you aren't, so you don't have to watch out for anything.
Something like half of people have non-food allergies and I've never heard or read anything about anyone being worried about becoming allergic to any non-food substance. And being someone that is allergic to dust and pollen, I can say I'd rather have to avoid peanuts than
[quote]Remain indoors in the morning when outdoor pollen levels are highest.
Wear face masks designed to filter out pollen if you must be outdoors.
Keep windows closed and use the air conditioner if possible in the house and car.
Do not dry clothes outdoors.
Avoid unnecessary exposure to other environmental irritants such as insect sprays, tobacco smoke, air pollution, and fresh tar or paint.
Avoid mowing the grass or doing other yard work, if possible.
also air filters and allergy medications so I don't have itchy, swollen eyes, a runny nose, and difficulty breathing for most of the year.
If people can accept that they will not just become allergic to non-food substances, why can't they accept that they will not just become allergic to food?
And, tittybabies is just funny! Sure, sometimes between the shiny, disco, lemon, dbol taking, crack smoking talk there is some serious discussion about tans and 'ceps, but I have never thought of this forum as an overly serious and "mature" place. If it was that sort of place, I'd never have signed up, because that's not interesting or welcoming.
Diet is not that important once the basics are covered, so it doesn't need to be taken seriously. Humans don't need a specific type of diet, it's why we can be vegan and other people can not eat carbs.
