Solid... I wonder what his chances are at the European Championships.

In powerlifting?

It just depends who turns up. Powerlifting has a lot of champions :)

The numbers look good though!

Here are the deadlift and bench press lifts from the European Championships in powerlifting:

Patrik also squatted 300kg, failed 330kg (dropping weights over his head which hurt quite a bit).

Patrik won his class and got the best total of all competitors with 830kg.

Yes, great! Good battle, especially because he was feeling quite sick in morning with stomach problems. Then that bad looking squat fall, missing shoe episode etc. My opinion is that it was awesome comp for that much bad luck! What will happen, when everything goes "normal" way.

OUCH!

Sorry for bad quality, stage was too far away for my old camera. That 330 kg squat video should turn to correct position soon...

Yeah, he did it on purpose. He wanted to show that it is as deep as he can go. There's just so much meat in those legs that he can't get any deeper.

I second that! Having good spotters can mean the difference between life and death with weights like that...

Right! I think that some of the spotters were not very experienced... Good luck was that apparently this didn't cause bad injury. Neck and head was scratched, but hopefully nothing else.

The bar wasn't moving downwards before he decided to dump it over his head, the spotters couldn't have done anything, wasn't their fault.
