I tried MyVega and it was pretty good, just wayyyy too expensive (like $50 and you can go through one of em' in like 10 days).

They have reformulated the vega wholefood optimizer into a new product called Vega One which will be released soon. More servings per tub so cheaper which is great. Also the taste is meant to be better than even the new sport protein which are great.

I forgot to correct when Goob said, there is no caffeine in the wholefood optimizer or sport protein. There is yerba mate which is in the sports optimizer product which is a pre-workout product, most pre-workout products do contain some caffeine or caffeine containing herbs such as yerba mate.

Many i will do a few VF only giveaways for the wholefood optimizer if i have any left.

I love the MyVega taste and formula, it's just expensive to use as a MRE.

Natures Whey Ignite Ultra-V is definitley the best tasting vegan protein powder on the market.

VegaOne is due out next week and will take over from the Vega Wholefood Optimizer, meant to be smoother/better tasting and much more servings per tub alas cheaper at last overall.

Got some pumpkin seed protein powder on the way also to try for a change.

Vega (and sunwarrior, too, while we're at outrageous prices...) is extremely expensive in Germany. I'm quite curious how both of them taste but I'm not willing to spend almost 50 Euro on one tub of each of them!

There is a lot of talk on the vega site about the new vega one. People are not exactly welcoming the new product and I can understand them.

I tried a sample of Vega One and I didn't like it very much, but then again I don't like the Whole Food Optimizer either.

Name: Good gym chocolate hemp
Taste: I mixed the sachet together with 500ml unsweetened soya milk and creatine. It tasted really smooth, liked it a lot.
Website: http://www.goodhempnutrition.com/14-goo ... tive-range
Protein Grams per serving: 17g
Cost per serving: got the sachet for free, but they are like £2 each on their website - very expensive!
Comments: It was much better than I thought it would be. Pretty low in protein but it is hemp so that's to be expected. For hemp protein though it is really tasty. Probably going to order a 1kg tub of the chocolate - which is less expensive - and cut it with the myprotein pea protein that I have. Probably too expensive as a standalone protein supplement.

I just flew a little too close to the sun and had to "drink" my protein shake with a spoon. Too many ingredients and too little water I reckon...

- 2 cups water;
- 1/3 cup rice protein;
- 1/4 cup soy protein;
- 2 tbsp chia seeds;
- 3 tbsp shredded coconut
Are you doing enough to be the best?

Name: Genisoy Soy Protein Shake Vanilla Flavor
Taste: like imitation vanilla cookies, only slightly chalky
Website: http://www.amazon.com/Protein-Shake-Vanilla-22-20-Ounces/dp/B0001TQ1WG/ref=pd_sim_hpc_2
Protein per serving: 14g
Cost per serving: at the $15.99 I paid 0.89/serving, at the current amazon price 0.64/serving
Comments: Is pretty tasty, definitely better than the bulk soy/pea/rice I normally use. Mixes very smooth in a blender bottle. Tons of vitamins and minerals. Has a little V on the back, denoting it's suitable for vegans.

Will probably buy it again since I always forget to order more bulk protein. If I see it on sale will probably pick some up as well.

Updated. Thanks Talyn and Goob.

On a side note, I have tried Ultra Ignite V with just under 500ml choc soya milk, then blended in a blender. It is delicious. Can also blend in flax but then you have to 'chew',but that was find cos it was TASTYYYYY

Just received my first tub of Ignite Ultra-V in banana flavour, very excited to try it out and will post a review - the good folks at Nature's Whey also popped a few other sample sachets in other flavours so I will test and report back.

Also haven't seen anyone mention this before: http://www.sci-mx.co.uk/product-categories/protein-shakes/PRO-VX-Protein/
Taste reviews are pretty uninspiring but it's still nice to see another vegan protein shake on the market.

Have also contacted MyProtein to ask for more vegan-friendly products - pointed out mainly that all their capsules contain gelatine excluding not only vegans but also vegetarians and potentially Muslims, and that it would also be nice to get ready-flavoured pea/rice/hemp proteins or an all-in-one. Received a fairly standard response thanking me for the valuable feedback and saying the suggestions had been passed on to the product development teams.

Same sort of thing with SIS - their REGO Recovery shakes are vegan, but the REGO bar isn't, so I tweeted them to ask if there was any hope of a vegan bar and was told it had been passed on.

How does the banana taste?
I've just had strawberry flavour for dinner, and it tastes like cough syrup. :shock:
