Ah, thank you. I already eat cliff bars, they taste awesome. A little too high in carbs and not enough protein though. I like to eat it post workout with a protein shake though, just half a serving.

you're aware of the difference between Cliff bars and Cliff Builders bars right? Builders have 20 grams of protein per bar! Also they taste better than regular cliff bars.

Pretty harsch accusation. Do you have anything to back this up, other than hearsay? Writing stuff like this on a public internet forum can have quite nasty legal consequences, if not for you so for VF.

If it's only hearsay with no substantial evidence behind it, don't you think it's a bad idea to slander a company that clearly serves the vegan community?

We at Food Empowerment Project have long enjoyed the products from Clif Bar & Company, including energy bars that contain chocolate. But when we asked Clif last year, “From which countries do you get cocoa beans?” they refused to tell us.

This is hardly damning evidence that they condone or use child labour. The issue is about transparency and not child labour, don't get it twisted.

When I hear of a place that isn't telling me where it's getting x ingredient and it's unclear as to whether or not it's animal derived or not, vegans will definitely get their panties into a twist and boycott until they correct it because until then, a refusal to state from where DOES look damned fishy.

So I fail to see how this is any different.
