Favorite Kale meal?

Postby vincentxanthony » Thu Mar 22, 2012 4:06 pm

I'm partial to lightly oiled and sauteed kale with thinly sliced garlic, but I'm looking for more things to do with kale. Do you like chips, or make a salad?

I make kale chips in the oven with nutritional yeast and garlic powder and a bit of salt.

I really like massaged kale salads. I mash up some avocado and then massage it into the kale leaves.

Mostly though I just sautee the kale with some garlic, like you already said.

I love kale chips, just plain. I like it in curries and in kale, potato and chickpea soup (recipe is one Vegan Dad's blog)

I steam and boil it. But my favorite is to stir fry it with garlic, onions and mushrooms.

Cook it in a little coconut milk (say 200ml for 1kg kale) salt and caraway seeds. Put it on steamed rice. One of my favorite meals!

Stir fried or I make Sukuma Wiki (mainly because I like saying Sukuma Wiki).

This recipe has meat in it but it's good without: http://www.congocookbook.com/meat_recip ... _wiki.html

Favorite Kale meal is 7-8 boiled potatoes and whole head of steamed kale. sprinkled with garlic powder and chat masala spice powder.

Can't find kale around here. I've been using fortified soymilk, almonds, brocoli and other leafy greens as main calcium resources. But I want kale :(
I accidentally replaced all of my blood with coffee.
