'Unlock a phone, Unlock a chicken' giffgaff

Got to be one of the strangest advertising campaigns I have seen.

http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Blog/U ... -p/2997155

This campaign not only gave people a splendid giffgaff SIM to pop in any unlocked mobile phone, but when the SIM was ordered through the campaigns Marketing channels, giffgaff would donate money to Wood Green, The Animals Charity. Wood Green would use this donation to unlock and re-home battery chickens. The campaign proved really successful and was one of the best we’ve run, on our Social channels.

That is so awsome - even if they dont donate this commercial is awsome and helpful to the cause

this is putting animal rights in the mainstream even if its a bit weird

I like the idea of this company better than the add campaign I think. Major cellular providers can suck it. I bought a nice phone that is just sitting in a drawer because my provider won't allow outside phones on their network. I can put it on myself, but if I don't have every setting exactly right they will ban my account and brick my phone. It's bullshit, I just want the same service I have now, but on a different phone.
