Celebrating 88 kg with a new gym routine (4 days per week) and buying tickets for the swimming pool (so nervous/weird about this). Also bought some soy protein for first time in my life, kinda of curious about it.

Just came here to say that I ate 4 hommus and zuchinni wraps with some babaganouch for way too cheap at some new Syrian-Lebanese restaurant nearby. I think I am in love, and I'm going back later to try the falafels.

UK supermarket prices seem so ridiculously cheap in these days of a high Aussie dollar and relatively lower GBP. Here, we have the notorious duopoly of the so called Fresh Food People, where I can hardly ever find anything that's particularly fresh, even in the small fresh food section, and Coles-SaveYour-SelffromthegrammarLesson-Everyday. We do have lots of green grocers at least in my local area (better range, quality and price on fresh food), some small Asian supermarkets, health food shops and, even, these days, a few ALDIs.

Mainstream pricing result:
$5 is the going rate for 1 packet of Sanatarium veg. sausages.
$6-7 if you want allegedly healthier ones with less protein and "gourmet" flavours

$3 for 300g tempeh always seems like the better bet, unless I have an urgent need to eat straight from the packet.

Yeah I remember before I moved to the uk, a block of tofu was like $4.50, and the sanitarium stuff all like $5 or more.

I definitely find it easier over here.

But I really miss those vege roasts.

The Linda McCartney sausages are actually one of the best vegan priced boxed foods, sadly not all vegan food here is priced as good as that.

Here im looking at most places for a block of tofu a couple of pound.

My local Cape Town Chinese supermarket sells blocks for R3 each, probably about 300g blocks, all floating around in a big plastic tub of water. It also has been raided by police for being a meth factory, hard to beat that really
