76kg metal block press practise

Is that a new:
a) addition to your training?
b) event to strongman?

Let me put it this way:
Beast!

Solid squat to deadlift ratio, too.
Current PBs:
195 kg SQ, 130 kg Bench, 245 kg DL, 200 kg SQ w/ wraps

Long Term Goals:
@ 75 kg: SQ - 252,5 kg, SQ w/ Wraps - 267,5 kg, DL - 307,5 kg, Total (w/ and w/o Wraps) - 710
@ 82,5 kg: SQ - 275 kg, SQ w/ Wraps - 277,5 kg, Total (w/ and w/o Wraps) - 772,5 kg

It was an interesting one in WSM last year, seemed to be a lot about hand positioning (balancing the block) and back strength as you end up leaning back to push upwards.

Solid training anyway!

If you'd just bulk up to 140 you could be in the open class and not have to worry about silly things like this

Competition report in the power and strength section...

Took almost a week off because the wrist got injured, and generally thought it was good for the recovery. But been so busy dont really feel any better :)

Was awesome to be back in the gym!

A ot of talking, not that much lifting with legends Millsy and JC, who grafted about 10 times more work in the same time period.

Squats
5x70
3x70
1x70
1x70
1x120
1x160
wraps:
1x200
1x225
1x225
wraps off:
5x120
5x120

giant farmers
46m x 72
23m x 112

cylinder farmers
7 x 46m x 52kg - with short(ish) rests in between. Rather do stuff like this than cross trainer...

THE PLAN:

3 weeks till the move, will increase conditioning, and some hip explosive stuff (need to seen how wrist likes clean high pulls). Would be nice to bag a bit more on the squat and log PBs as i think they are there, but might run out of time in the build up.

Massive! More depth? Looks alright to me...

Nice solid 500 pounder, depth also looks fine to me.

One problem, you need to put more weight on the bar, it looked too easy :D
