Rice Protein in the UK

Postby Gulliver » Thu Feb 23, 2012 8:35 am

So... MyProtein.co.uk seem to have it permanently out of stock. Does anyone know of any other stockists?

I know there are a few places that do 500g tubs for about fifteen pounds, but that's silly. The German website I used to use have stopped stocking it, too (well, apart from the small expensive tubs).

There is proteinmixer.com, a German site as well - they sell rice protein for 16 Euro per kg.

If the demand is there i could look into adding unflavoured generic brown rice protein powder for cheap would it be something people would purchase?

think there is a general shortage. Bulkpowders are out of it too.

It's annoying, because brown rice protein is my favourite. It must be almost a year since myprotein's been out of stock.

I got an email back from My Protein and apparently rice protein will be back within the month.

I finally just realised it's back in stock. My plan was to buy enough to fill a bath tub and just lie in it. But there's no bulk deals. Meaning per 1kg it's over double the price of pea protein (if you were to buy 2.5kg).

Will have to settle for just a scoop a day I guess :(

yeah, no bulk deals sucks massive ass....BUT i did buy a load and it is different to the old stuff (the taste of which i didn't mind) but the new stuff is super smooth...I had to call and check that it wasn't whey that they had sent me by mistake.

They said they may be offering bulk deals in the future.

Just ordered some from myprotein, along with my usual stash.

Will report back on if it's improved. The way it used to taste though, that shouldn't be hard.
