Really strong jerk, 1kg off bodyweight overhead. Did you have a go at 82kg?

Thanks! I didn't have a go at 82. Trying the 81 I already felt I was pushing my luck, but it worked out.
The risk of dropping the barbell is holding me back. I train at home (no gyms here) and I don't own Olympic plates yet. Crashing steel plates down onto the floor (even with some wall insulation I use as a platform for the plates) is not recommended.
Some day I'll get an oly bar + plates, but I have enough to learn (esp. regarding the snatch) before I make that investment.
I like to think having steel plates only makes me somewhat more responsible about the weights I attempt

Dunno, I would say its probably impossible to learn to snatch well without access to bumpers and being able to dump the bar. Have to work with what you got though :)
Clean and Jerk bodyweight is strong though, lets see it!

Aha, visual evidence is required! I'll film it next time I attempt it (although it might look ugly...).

A video would be cool, but evidence is not required :)
"Lets see it!" is a phrase of encouragement often used in my gym. As in we have talked about you lifting 82k, now lets see it!

Understood. I might start filming anyway, though, so I (and, more importantly, others) can check my form.

85 C&J at 88kg BW. Almost lost the weight forward during the squat phase (heels!) and it's something of a press out, I guess, but it's up :D Still no oly plates. Cost is holding me back, but it's getting dangerous with the all steel plates.

Snatch to 60. C&J still at 87. Won't go any higher without oly plates.
