Fri - Rest
Sat - 14.5 miles with club. Through snowy tracks and fields - lovely. It was slow but considering I haven't been near this distance in a loooooong time, I felt totally fine and could have gone on. Happy day :)

Sun - 5 miles, snow is melting so quite soggy & foggy, really nice out, but a bit stiff from yesterday so not very quick.

40 miles of running this week which is ridiculous increase really, but I know my body well and it has responded well :)

Tue - 7.2 miles with club, snow has finally gone. legs happy for day off - slow run with efforts, happy keeping speed slow so I can log the miles at the moment :)

Sun - 8 miles hilly run to the in-laws house. Tough after yesterday but a great day to be out running :)

Missed a run this week - so only 43 miles, but good to have 2 weeks over 40. 7 weeks till ultra, should be fine....

Hey Mr C... Good work on your brevet - looks stunning, I hope you're getting some rest now :)

I'll get a few 20 - 22 milers in maybe stretch to a 26 if I feel good one day - in those weeks won't go too high (up 55 miles) as I'll prioritise the long run and drop a weekday run so mileage doesn't go too far for my body. Sadly I'm doing this with such little time, and increasing my mileage by silly amounts that I'm just happy I'm not getting injured! It'll be a case of getting round the last 10 miles on vapours, ultra memories and thoughts for my friend that I'm running for.

(seriously though - I don't advocate this kind of mileage increase recklessness unless people really know their body and the warning signs for any potential injuries)

Wed - 6 miles, 1st night run near me which is tricky as the lights in our village stop after a while, so its head torch on and try not to fall over.
Thurs - 7.5 with the club, slight ache in my shins, but nothing to worry about yet..

Fri - Rest day (well work got in the way ... so it 'became' a rest day)
Sat - 6 miles ... good run at threshold - quicker than I have run all year. Prob not the best timing with a long run tomorrow, but a good test :)

Sun - 17 miles, legs were fine after yesterday. Took it easy for the first 13, cranked the last 4 - ate a lot of vegan cake, job done.

Weekly total 44 miles... can feel legs are almost at the limit here, heart says more miles, head says wait couple of weeks..
