- not planned work is still up to the same all consuming tricks.Friday lunch 8km run flat:
ran with some fit buggas and did the first 4km @ 4.10/km. Certainly not blazingly fast, but I am impressed with myself that I could do it on no running fitness
been fighting a bit of a cold, so I was completely whacked later in the day and skipped my planned evening swim.,Saturday am swim/bike/run: 1500m swim, 2hr ride with 20 min @ 260 Watts AP, 10min hill climb @319W AP and 15min @ 260W AP, 15 min run 1st half at pace, easy second half:
did the swim in 25min - freakin slow, but better than I expected considering
Maybe getting down to the 23's by the race is poss. Was nice to be able to put my backside properly on the saddle again! Very pleased with that hill climb effort, there must be some strength somehwhere.... run was as good as could be expected. was running 4.10 pace.Sunday am swim/run 2100m swim, 52 min run:
5x200m (tied ankle/pull for the last 3)
20x50 with paddles on 50/55
run was false flat on the way out, and back down it on the return - good for leg speed I hope! I am running better than I usually would be so early on in run training, but I definitely have some aches and pains - knees, calfs, adductors, back....
doing the workouts together is not ideal, but my family has put up with enough with the brevet, so I need to optimise!
