No crazy maxout session to close out your last session

New town, new gym, where are you going to be training?

No I thought I would save my legs for today because I'm moving furniture etc. I got a job as a registered nurse at Tamworth Hospital so I'll be living there for a year. Going to build a house at some point, live in it for a while then get some tenants in it and will probably move back here or to Sydney. That's the plan anyway. There's a few decent gyms in Tamworth. My parents paid for the first three months membership as a Christmas present.

I'm back in my home town now. I moved here yesterday and I'm still getting myself set up. It feels kinda strange to be back after 7 years of living out of home down in Newcastle. I moved there when I was 19 and now I'm almost 26. Not that I hadn't been back in that time, but to be actually living here again feels a bit surreal. Not sure how long I'll be here. It might just be a year and then I'll see where my job takes me. It's a nice town and still feels like home. Everything here just feels nicer I guess. Less dirty, less noisy, less busy etc.. Aaanyway... I start work next Monday. Today I went and activated the gym membership I got for Christmas.

07/02/12-Deadlift Day

Deadlift
3 x 60 kg
3 x 100 kg
3 x 117.5 kg
3 x 135 kg
3 x 150 kg

Front Squat
3 x 5 x 60 kg

Hyperextensions
3 x 12

Done in less than half an hour.

Might have to start using the plates that are in pounds in the next cycle. The gear they have at this gym is pretty old school and awesome, but the newer kilo plates they have are octagonal. Which idiot thought it would be a good idea to make plates in that shape? Will have to do some converting of weights, but will be fine.

09/02/12

I wanted to test my bench 1RM, because I'll be doing bench instead of floor press from now on.

5 x 135 lbs
3 x 185 lbs
3 x 205 lbs
1 x 225 lbs
1 x 245 lbs
3 x 205 lbs
5 x 185 lbs
12 x 135 lbs

I guess 245 is a PB since it's 111 kg, but I'm not going to count a 1kg PB for the strength table.

Looking back I probably should've done less reps warming up and might have got more, but that will do as a starting point for the next cycle.

Dumbbell Bench
8 x 50 lbs
8 x 70 lbs
6 x 75 lbs
6 x 80 lbs
5 x 85 lbs

Iso-Lateral Low Row Machine
10 x 1 plate each side
10 x 1.5 plates
10 x 2 plates

Done.

5 x 185 lbs
