more men than women!
Although the effeminate nature of my username may suggest otherwise, my gender actually falls into the male category.

Nice spread among the age groups. Didn't expect that.

Me neither! A difference between urban and rural areas though, as expected...

More guys. Wow that does surprise me as we're always led to believe it's a female thing.

People who describes themselves as vegetarian but eat fish and chicken is pretty high at 3% actually more than those that eat fish!? Shows how much we still need to educate folk into not using that label as no wonder caterers can be confused :)

Be very careful about relying on these sort of figures. It's a very small sample size when considering a small minority, so distortion due to chance is very easy.

Interesting though. Only 5% vegetarian or vegan...we have a long way to go.

10% if you include all those wonderful 'fish and chicken eating' vegetarians ;) Yes very small sample size, and DEFRA are muppets, so I trust it even less.

** edit - weird someone wrote a response that posted as me... **

the lack of progress in vegetarian numbers in UK is pretty depressing compared to the surge in other countries.

A lot of the progress in recent years have been from the meat reductionists and flexi folk.

We need to step up our game a bit :)

i blame Quorn - those bastards are holding EVERYTHING back!
