Glad I checked in! Didn't know you were competing! What level is it at?

The boxer Alex Arthur (former world champ!) trains at my gym. Super friendly guy!
JS - They think it will open the door to folk like LordMuppet campaigning for a threeway?

The lowest possible level :) 75kg Senoir C amateur boxing. Nice :)

I saw the video of last weeks fight now. I did ok, though I maybe did one power punch. But I know what I need to work on and it feels good. 90 min session today. We trained south paw style and was exhausting but fun.

15-20 x1 boxjumps @80-95% of 1RM
20 min 5 hang PC, 5 Fronties, 5 push press with 2 KBs every minute.

BJs
5x1x100cm
5x1x105cm
5x1x100cm
5x1x103cm

12 kg KB. It kind of mauled me. Wasn't so heavy each set but it made me sweat tons.

technique boxing session yesterday. Bag work and some strenght stuff. I think I've started to change my style after the fight. I need quicker hands and relax the arms more.

sparring session with a guy from another club. He was also south paw and I hope that I'll meet a normal boxer the 22nd when I think I have my next fight. Anyway, I was better than him and about 5 kg heavier so I sort of dominated the sparring. I didn't really commit power wise to the punches.

A very good boxing session. I had some pain in the left thumb due to a bad jab yesterday but it only hurt before and after I was sparring :)

Sparred with a guy I've sparred a lot with and today i figured him out and was able to defend and attack really good. I kept my chin down and jabbed efficiently.
