Not too bad. Suboptimal preperation for a max attempt though. I left my deadlift slippers at home so I had to make do with socks, and also my belt is getting too loose, I need to drill some more holes in it. Was considering trying 165kg but I was happy enough to leave it there.

That's probably going to be my last run-up until I get back from South Africa, so I think this race to 180kg will be on for a wee while ;)

nice on all fronts!

I hit 110kg for a triple squat and was pretty happy with that so 110kg for 3x5 is solid!

Should maybe arrange a max out session in Cape Town? Best solution for a belt that is too loose, is to eat more. You don't want to be too skinny and lean on the beach. 8)

congrats on the new job!

Thanks! New job starting soon, moving house in a couple of weeks, and an awesome holiday coming up... it's all go at the moment and very exciting.

I'd definetley be up for a lifting session in Cape Town, if we are able to fit it in.

Bulking will start in a few months, but until then it's cut-cut-cut (no emo).

Yes, for the next 12 months definetley. If my partner gets the grant she applied for, which is likely, then it will be for 3-4 years.

I'm still trying to negotiate a start date: the SA trip is playing havoc with my plans, so I still don't know if I'll have any leave to come to VFW, but I'm very much hoping so!
