Fox's dark chocolate chunk cookies

Postby muchluv » Fri Jan 27, 2012 3:32 pm

Appear to be vegan, and they are lushThe 'Flavourings' in the ingredients, are vanilla.

Their packaging states 'contains milk', but no milk in the ingredients. I got this email:
Thank you for contacting us about our Dark Chocolate Chunkie Cookies. Fox’s Biscuits has a very long tradition of baking high quality products and we are proud of our quality standards.

The chocolate chunks may contain traces of milk protein so that is why we put the warning on the packaging. In addition, the product is made in a factory, which uses dairy ingredients.

I hope this helps.

Yours sincerely,

would be interested to know why they chose 'contains milk' rather than 'may contain'... EDIT: I have already emailed them to ask.. but no reply. Find it a bit suspect, like maybe they don't clean it off on purpose or something, I dunno. Unlikely though. Anyway people can make up their own mind :)

I didn't personally find them, so I can't take the credit, but they are incredible.

Went to the big three supermarkets in Woking (Morissons, ASDA and Sainsbury), couldn't find them. Was nearly in tears by the end of it.

Thats really harsh man! Do you know what they look like? Think Poundland do them. Tesco do too.

I went back to ASDA, still they don't stock them. Do they even exist?
Thinking of writing a very strongly worded email to someone, about this issue.

They are at my local tesco, I can confirm they do exist.

Have not bought any yet because I'm cutting and I know that I'd inhale a packet in about 90 seconds. feelsbad.

How big a tesco is it? Will try the tesco express near work at lunch.

The one at Leytonstone is massive, so that might explain why.
