interesting:

so often you hear opinions among some animal rights campaigners for instance against vegan campaigning that its futile because of the constant growth in animal consumption.

But seems like things can change :)

Hey nice find. An interesting article, but the usual failfest if you venture into the comments section.

I hate to be a wet blanket on my team's parade ( hey, I'm a vegan its in my nature! ), but I have the suspicion that the reduction in beef, pork and eggs recently reported in the news might be at least partially about the extended recession the United States has been in.

Meat is expensive. People who have to be tight with their money will see that ( #7 ).

The news media has also reported in the United States that people have been having fewer children, C02 emissions have been decreasing and migrant workers in the country illegally have been leaving. All as a result of the temporary economic downturn here. Now, if we can only figure out a way to do all that when times become good again...
