I watched this a while ago on netflix and found it very interesting. My major issue with steroids is that people aren't honest about using them. I don't care what other people are doing to their body. But, when someone enters a drug free league/federation/competition... knowing they are not drug free, they are an asshole.

Before that time you can be up to your eyeballs in gear and as long as you cut it off in time, you can compete in tested, drugfree federations.

BDFPA requires a longer clean period, doesnt it? Like 10 years? But then again, how would you test for it...

IPF does in theory support out of comps testing of its members too, but in reality cant afford to do so.

some of the sports are drug free only for media/spectators, like olympics, even if the usage is rife - i would not call those people assholes or cheaters.

powerlifting and some areas of bodybuilding is different because there are alternatives.

Aye the costs of getting a drug test done are quite high, which will for the most part rule out any testing at all unless you've just broken a record. I think only a few people in the country would be good enough to justify out-of-season testing.

It doesn't bother me if people use or not, as long as they understand and accept the possible side effects, it should be a purely personal choice as its your own body. One of the good things that movie highlighted was that there are other ways of enhancing your performance that are totally legal, so it seems strange that one method is acceptable and another can get you put in jail or a life ban.
