You realise that for £2 you could just buy a builders bar?

Like I said (you conveniently cut out what the * is for in your quote), I haven't been paying £2 per serving because that's an estimate based on the 1kg size. I've been buying the 5lb size, which works out to a bit over £1 per serving, but I didn't put that in the review because as far as I can tell it's no longer available in the UK at that size/per serving price.

I'm gonna search around for the bigger container. If I can't find it, then I'm not sure what I'll do. But I really can't stomach most powders (and my partner refuses to use many of them) even when they are mixed in our smoothies with all sorts of fruit, so it's worth paying a bit more for something we will actually use. Also, we each have no more than 5 servings per week, so a 5lb tub lasts the two of us close to 2 months. We don't use as much as many of you all do, so it's not as big an expense for us. The 5lb tub works out to around £30 per month for two people, or £15 each per month.

~£0.34 for a serving of 50g.

Tastes fine if you mix it with something tasty like hot chocolate powder, myprotein vanilla or some flavdrops.

Agreed. Scoop of Maltodextrin and cocoa powder and it's tasty.

$55.69 for 17 servings = $3.28 or ~£2.13 per serving

That is with special pricing even, normally it is $74.99 for that size jug. Can almost get 3 builder bars for that serving price

These vega sport chocolate coconut protein bars are the best tasting plant vegan protein source i have came across. Works out at about £3 a bar for 15g of protein but nice as a treat.

Have just wolfed 4 down, moreish.

Name:Sunwarrior Warrior Blend Vanilla Raw Protein
Taste: Pretty nice taste, better than the vanilla original sunwarrior raw protein in my opinion, vanilla taste could be abit stronger but easy to get over and miles upon miles better than just straight up hemp or pea protein. No horrible grainyness to it as those powders have, nice smooth powder.
Website: http://www.amlaberry.co.uk
Protein Grams per serving: 16g per scoop
Cost per serving: £0.79p
Comments: Derives its protein from 3 different sources which are Pea, Hemp and Cranberry. Boasts that it is rich in antioxidants, has a gum blend(guar gum, fenugreek gum and Konjac gum), coconut (mct) oil also.

Might take a chocolate warrior blend also and review that, will try making some protein bars with the sunwarrior warrior blend powder.

Is that the recommended serving size? Seems very low (or a cunning way to make the cost per a serving cheap  ).

Says 1 21g scoop = 16g protein which would be about right for most protein per weight. Even doubling the scoops and using 3 shakes a day would be about £4.68, thats about 2 small tubs of blueberries here in the local supermarkets lol.

The warriorblend was really nice in the end, hopefully the chocolate flavour is good and that will be me maxed out for my protein spending budget for the next month or so.

Liking the look of that Ignite Ultra v, with the creatine, taurine etc also being in it.

Lol yeah, i was munched up so it had to be done:). I don't drink alcohol these days or do much other than fund my hobby of bodybuilding and healthy lifestyle so £12 is nothing compared to what used to get blown in a usual night out. Much healthier as a result also.

Hopefully if demand grows they can bring the price down abit more as they are damn tasty, will review the chocolate saviseed(sacha inchi seed) flavour later.

Of course, do what you want, but you could also buy around 2.5kg of top quality pea protein, with a perfect amino acid profile, for like £16. And lets face it, there is very little difference between the two, and nothing that makes sunwarrior/vega worth the insane price tag. I don't care if it tastes like ambrosia and makes me fart gold fairy dust, it's not worth what they charge for it.

When it comes to bars i see them as treats, something id have maybe every second day and i couldn't use pea protein in a similar manner as a tasty chocolate bar for protein source.

As far as the different between the powders, i agree pretty much other than some are much more tolerable taste wise and some have extra nutritione etc. Overall sunwarrior is still my favorite brand that i have tried so far, although that Ignite Ultra v is looking tempting, i see they do sachets.

I think I remember reading somewhere that Brendan Brazier lives in Beverly Hills.. Vega seems to be going well for him.

This thread is looking pretty awesome, any volunteers to manage a simple table of the reviews?
Maybe broken down to EU/US and AUS regions. Then if people ask about protein powders we can point them to a table.

Yep, this is what I'm using too - mix it with cocoa powder and it's fine.
