Let's keep trying to find time... :)

I've been tired and had a runny nose for a few days, so tried to take it easy today:

Bench press: Bar x 10. 40 kg, 3 x 10.

Bent over row: 30 kg, 3 x 12.

Squat: Bar x 10. 55 kg, 3 x 10.

Seated calf raise: 40 kg, 3 x 8.

DB shoulder press: 8 kg, 2 x 10. My neck complained a little, stopped.

Back extension: 5 kg x 18. Got a little nauseous after this. :?

Btw I saw a girl, quite skinny, benching 55 kg for reps today. I've never seen anyone of that size bench that much IRL so it was
kind of inspiring but also made me feel a little weak... :?

That is exactly how I feel all the time, inspired but still weak. You should have organised to train with her, strong training partners are the key to getting stronger.

You speak wisely, baldy. I'll try to chat her up next time!

Today I went bouldering with a friend. The facility had a big bouldering area with many different routes, so it was a lot of fun! :)

That is impressive and she does sound like a potentially good training partner. I never see any women benching in my gym at all :(

That would be something, I've actually never really had one! Once in a while I've lured friends into the gym and it's been nice but
you get about half as much done in twice the amount of time... :)

That's a shame, we could do with more role models in that area couldn't we? I guess you'll have to be the pioneer at your gym and become a role model for others! 8)

Body Combat class today - felt like it was just what I needed, partly because I haven't done any cardio in a couple of weeks but
mostly to blow off some steam. Nothing major, just various little frustrations that have been piling up...

So I actually saw the skinny strong girl at the gym today again, but she was doing endless series of curls and looked like she didn't want to be disturbed.
Instead I talked to another girl who I've noticed pulls about the same weight as me but with more reps. She was quite friendly and would probably be willing to help me with a little spotting.

Bench press: Bar x 10. 40 kg x 5. 45 kg, 5 x 5. Easy! :)

Bent over row: 35 kg, 5 x 5.

Squat: Bar x 10. 60 kg x 5. 65 kg x 5. 70 kg, 3 x 3. Front squat with bar x 20.

Triceps overhead extension, rope: 36 kg, 3 x 8.

Back extension: 10 kg plate, 3 x 8.

Calf raises on the hyperextension apparatus: 3 x 12, trying not to hold on.

Shoulder prehab exercise.

Deadlift: Bar x 10. 60 kg x 5. 80 kg, 5 x 5. Comfortable, time to add a little more weight!

Press: 25 kg, 5 x 5.

Pullovers, lying on bench: 15 kg plate, 3 x 8.

Lunges, holding 15 kg plate: 3 x 8 each side.

Hip abduction: 75 kg, 3 x 8.

DB row: 10 kg, 3 x 10 supersetted with

Bicep curls: 10 kg, 3 x 8.

Calf raise on one leg, using the lower part of the bench: 3 x 10.

Neck raise on bench: 20

Shoulder prehab stuff, abs, I won't bore you with the details. Speaking of boring, should I stop logging my "Bar x 10"
or will this make people worried that I don't do any warm-up? :)

Thanks Dave! 8) Yes I reckon my 1RM should have increased since last time I tried for a PB. I will make an attempt soon...

Today I tried a 60 min "Hot Yoga" class, not Bikram but a rip-off at a regular gym! Nice... especially when it's -17 C outside.
