there is no evidence that proves aspartame in small quantities is dangerous.

What is the point of sugar free pop?

It's like inventing calorie free curry!

Well, you got a point there. Honestly I've never been through what official food agencies say about it...

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting it is in any ways healthy. It's just that unless you're drinking about 50 litres a day of the stuff you should be fine. And surely not any worse off than consuming the same level of beverage that contains sugar (or HFCS like in the 'states).

There may not be evidence that it's dangerous in small quantities, but this evidence is hard to come by given that population studies are hampered by the other variables the population is involved in.

IMHO I'm not convinced either way but tend to avoid it because I prefer something relativelty natural (sugar) to something which could be bad, and sugar has very few drawbacks (to me).

Coke Zero is probably the worst of them all. All the lack of taste of Diet Coke with all the over-carbonisation of regular Coke.

The one who'll invent that will be a billionaire soon. Calorie free curry (especially the ones with coconut milk)... :P
