Im 33 years old and just started working out again. I started this week doing all bodyweight exercises with some dumbbells. My question is since im doing my own bodyweight can I do whole body workouts and how long before I do it again? Every other day? Wait 2 days? Cannot afford gym membership thats why im doing this kind of workout. Plus a year ago a completly tore my labrum and dislocated shoulder. Thanks!!

Bodyweight or not, your muscles still need time to recover / repair. I workout most days but always try to avoid working the same muscle group two days in a row.

Not sure I understand what you mean - if you're using dumbells then by definition you're not doing bodyweight exercises??
Either way then just let how your body feels guide you. If you're doing a full body routine 48 hours should generally be fine.

Yeah every other day to start, although like Catt says once you're conditioned to that there's no reason not to do a variety of whole body workouts back to back.

A couple of good body weight circuits for you, adding in the dumbells seeing as you have got them.
Forward lunges - 12 on each leg
Burpees - 12
Push ups - 12
Moutain Climbers - 30 sec
Plank - 1 min
Dumbell shoulder press - 12
Star jumps - 30 sec
Chin ups - 12
High Knees - 30 sec
Side Plank - 30 sec each side
Do each circuit 3 times with 2 min break.
This should get you sweating, you can add dumbells to the lunges and the squats.
I dont see any reason you can't do this type of routine most days of the week as you are not maxing out on the weights or splitting your muscle groups over the week.
As long as you have at least 1 day off and get enough sleep.Your body will let you know if you need more recovery days.
Just go easy with the shoulder, stop if you get any pain with a certain exercise and find something different.

I love exercise but hate the typical gym environment. One of my favorite workout tools at home is a pilates band...you can do resistance training with almost any part of your body.

I don't do much bodyweight stuff but those who do seem to consider Ross' 'NeverGymless' as the bible of sorts.
JS - They think it will open the door to folk like LordMuppet campaigning for a threeway?

Can't you do Pull-ups or dips? Those are my favourites among the BW exercises.

Can you explain what do you mean ?
do you bench press your bodyweight (70-80) ? what wegiht do you lift with what exrcises - i mean do you do curls ? milatry press ?
i have a shoulder problem and what i do now is - exrcise with sports band 1 day off exercise with dumbells day off pushups and pull ups and a day off - hammer workout and day off - some leg stuff day off
if something hurts than i take 2-3 days off - and i try to be as creative as possible and allways change exercises so some exercise is bad for my shoulder i wont do it to much

You can do whole body work out at home with some little exercise equipment. I share some upper and lower body work out for better attractive body figure.
Lower body:
Leg extension
Leg press
Deadlift
Wall Sit
Upper body:
Lats
Pectorals
Triceps
Biceps
