They do look a bit of an odd angle, but that's where they've ended up most comfortable by trial and error.
I can ride no handed, so they can't be that far out.
I'll have to take some better photos. I think the camera goes by the dark background and I end up with over exposed glare off the bikes.

I set my bike up through years of trial and error too. Then I got a professional bike fitting and found out it was still error. Even though I was comfortable before, my position was far from optimal - meaning I was wasting energy holding my posture. In the new, correct position my power output is slightly higher and I ache less after a race.

^ Thanks. It's a pretty solid bike for the price. I got it new for $460 from the lbs. All of the stock components are serviceable. The cro-mo handlebars and seatpost are a nice touch. The ride quality is great. I think the split top tube may have something to do with it.

^ Thanks. I rode a Moonlander the other day (even fatter tires than the pugsley) and am jealous. I would buy one, but I'm afraid they'll come out with something even better shortly afterward. Maybe I'll wait a bit and see where the dust settles on tire size.

That split top tube is perfect for putting a u-lock through. That's what a friend does. Nice commuter.

My new bike. I need a new wheel set, as the one on the bike are borrowers. I also need new pedals, that are ideally carbon fiber. I got this bike at a STEAL of a price ($800) from a friend who is on a team and upgraded. Unfortunately, I blew almost all of my personal savings on the bike. Ideas?



The bike is a 2009 Specialized S-Works Transition in Team Carbon/Red.

The Vulka controls and the wheels have been swapped out. But the frame and other components are intact.

This is mine. It's a gift from a friend who works as bike mechanic and got it really cheap. Not exactly my size and that sucks. Now it has a larger stem and it fits a little better.

It's not a top-notch bike, but it's more than enough for me at the moment.

And yeah, those are flames.
