deadlift goal would come automatically if you get the squat.

Just forcus on squat.

That would also make your biceps bigger.

SQUAT!

Fuck, i need to squat today.

I am squatting today and even roped in a an injured buddy to apply my wraps. Might do a walk out with 180kg just to see what that feels like.

200kg is a bit of crackpipe, but not impossible. I can visualise squatting it, just need to do it.

visualize?
I can visualize squatting an elephant, but can i do it?
come to think of it, it never tried

Milestones I'm looking forward to nail on the way include 100kg snatch, 100kg push press, 110kg powerclean and 80kg powersnatch. I guess I might also have to squat somewhere around 160-170 to get those numbers.

Another goals is to not drop out of the top 50 on the strength table :) .

85kg powersnatch nailed, so that is one subgoal reached :) .

Put in a solid year of training - yes
Lift in another comp - yes
PL total 450kg - not even close
Squat 150kg - no
Bench 100kg - lol, no
Deadlift 200kg - no
Get strong enough to start doing weighted chins - yes
Keep BW under 80kg - yes

In reflection, I missed most of these. I had a very solid year of training, probably my best & most consistent so far. But my focus changed a lot from when I set out my goals. Losing 15kg, feeling more healthy, getting 2x bw squat and winning a PL competition more than made up for it.

Time to light up the pipe and come up with some new goals.

My final PL PB session is still to come but let´s see:
Mellos wrote:No alcohol excesses (at least not too many  ) - Done
And tons of vegan bodyweight to be put on - Done cum laude

Deadlift 220 KG - No
Squat 170 Kg - No
Bench 115 Kg - Didnt. Even. Improve. Damn!
Snatch 90 Kg - Lacking technique
Clean & Jerk 110 Kg - No but possible on a good day
Atlas Stone ~120 Kg - Actually lost the ability to load 100
Circus Dumbbell 60 Kg - Didn´t try
Log Lift 110 Kg - No

Reasons? Once again I had all my gains in 3 months of the whole year and lost a hell lot of power in spring.
If I ever get this under control, stuff could happen. Let´s hope I do.
220 Deadlift could have been possible with less competitions (same goes for the squat).
Benchpress? From now on I just hate it. Period.
Oly Lifting? I already gpt the power but I lack technique. That´s why the difference in the snatch is 15 kg while in the c&j it is 5 kg. Sadly I have no opportunity to test my c&j because of "work" and the holidays.

So what are you targets for 2011?

Mine are as follows:

Deadlift 185kg, Squat 125kg, Bench 90kg...Total 400kg...currently total is 345kg.

Military Press 50kg currently 45kg.

Bodyweight 80kg with 15% bodyfat.

Nothing achieved and no PBs in 2011...

Bullshit goals :D Well, 130 log was NAILED out of the blue this saturday gone, 7.5kg behind on the front squat, 10kg on deadlift, 10kg on squat, and stopped doing jerks from blocks, but push press has been flying!

Squat up from 122.5kg (270lb) to 158.8kg (350lb)
Deadlift up from 142kg (315lb) to 183kg (405lb).
Bench up from 77.1kg (170lb) to 100kg (225lb)
Bodyweight/fat: eh don't really care so long as i don't go past the 82.5kg/182lb class

feel free to ridicule but i figure it's better to set them too high than too low and they are possible. E.g deadlift (the biggest) is an increase of less than 2.5kg a week for the year :)

:D

wow 2010 me had NO idea what was realistic :D

bear in mind squat form has changed such that I actually have some pro-perception now. Old Deadlift number was with frog stance so have overhauled that. Bench form is about the same i guess.

Squat up from 122.5kg to 127kg now (has been higher during the year)
Bench down from 77.1kg to 75kg (lifted at start of november 2011). Has been higher during the year also.
Deadlift up from frog stance 142kg to 160kg conventional.

disappointing year. Certainly put in the hours in the gym but things such as moving, illness and injury have taken their toll. Will figure out how to deal with such stuff better. Having a place to deadlift at home should help.

targets for next year will be much more modest.
