Seattle Recs

I'm off to Seattle next week for about 10 days. I go there somewhat regularly, so I know there are plenty of great places around (emmm, donuts ) but does anyone have any recommendations of anywhere in particular I should check out (for any reason) ?

I am quite fond of Seattle and am happy to share suggestions - though maybe you can tell me some of what you look for & enjoy?

Mighty-O obviously! I am sure that you know about the lil' vegan district of Sidecar, Pizza Pi and Wayward Cafe. I always like to use Seattle as a base for getting out of Seattle - esp. out on the water! While it's certainly no InterIslander, the ferry from downtown Seattle to Bainbridge Island is quite pleasant - and at only US$8-ish, it is quite a bargain. Winslow is where the ferry arrives on the island and it has a nice walkable downtown & a vietnames vegan sidewalk cafe type place called Emmy's Vege House: http://www.happycow.net/reviews.php?id=8310

Really though, my strongest suggestion would be to come down & visit me in Portland!

That's great, thanks very much for that. I don't actually know Sidecar, Pizza Pi and Wayward Cafe, so I will definitely check them out. I guess any recs are good, but I am always happy to find new food places. I haven't been to Bainbridge since I was a kid, so that could be something good to do again!

Hah, yes, I'd love to get back down to Portland. I didn't get to see much last time I was there and didn't even have time to hook up with you! It seemed like a great place though.

Thanks for the ideas. As it always seems when I go to Seattle, i am too busy to do most of what I wanted, but I did get to both Wayward and Sidecar. I was really disappointed not to get to Pizza Pi. Wayward was great, I think I could have had many breakfasts there!
