how about the others?
are you planning on going to nationals in whatever federation this is?
There are no national standards for single lifts other than bench. Qualification is driven by your three-lift total. Of which I am unfortunately nowhere near at the moment.
Lordmuppet wrote:before i forget. The federations up here in Scotland list individual qualification lifts as well as a total. I think this is for those who want to compete at single lift nationals (which they hold). Anyway yours is just within national qualification deadlift for all three i think.

Thanks. Will be useful if I ever move to Scotland!

chewybaws wrote:BDFPA have a completely different set of records for single lift and full power. So if you were to compete just in deadlift you'd only get a single lift deadlift record, not the deadlift in the full power. This is my understanding anyway, and it's stupid. Because there's so few people doing single lift that it isn't really competitive at all. BDFPA have really low standards all across the board and too many weight and age classes.
I'm not sure the full story about it up here but GBPF haven't been too good to their Scottish members I hear so their comps have been really quiet. I bought a membership beginning of this year and the first comp was cancelled due to not enough lifters. It's the only gateway to IPF competition though.
