I never have any food stashed at work. If there's food here, it just gets eaten.
Same thing here.
At one point, I had a dozen+ Cliff bars sitting in various bags that I took to work when walking around. They get gone every two weeks. Then I forget to buy more until two weeks later.
I take leftovers when we have them (rarely). Unfortunately, I find myself spending my $$ on this wonderful syrian place 100m away from my office (Bulgur garlic/onion Mjujadarra plus legume tomato, parsley, lettuce salad plus hummus all in a giant toasted pita wrap), or at the cheap Thai Place (vegan sauce on fried tofu with broccoli and brown rice), or at the sushi place, or at the burger place (two different vegan burgers). Not good at all. I've spent too much money on going out to eat, because I rarely get to bring my food with me. When I do bring food, it rarely covers enough for a meal. It only makes me not need an appetizer.
Ugh. Downside: I spend lots of $$$ I could use on things more important (family, kids, wife, savings, gear, etc.)
Upside: I eat well and plenty.
"The worker has the right to leave his boss, but can she do it? And if she does quit him, is it in order to lead a free life; where she will have no master but herself? No, she leaves to sell herself to another employer. She's driven by the same hunger. Thus the worker's liberty is only a theoretical freedom, lacking any means of realization; an utter falsehood."
