I wish!!!

A recent change in my work hours has created a bit of a problem for me. My boss has me working full time now, so that means I'm working 8.5-9 hours a day + 4 hours commuting roundtrip. It's been like this for the past 2 weeks. I leave early in the morning and come home at night exhausted. Although I do need the extra cash, I'm unfortunately really losing my drive to work out.

Yesterday I made it to the gym but didn't go with a plan so it was kind of pathetic.

back squats: 10X bar warm up; 5X5 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 lbs; 10X bar cool down
front squats: 3X5 65, 70, 75 lbs
seated rows: 3X8 70 lbs
a few clean & jerks with 40 and 50 lb barbells

cardio: 20 minute run on treadmill + 10 minutes on stationary bike

I need help creating a routine that I can do on Saturdays and Sundays. I'm afraid that I've really fallen off the wagon with fitness :(

On a brighter note, I went out dancing with friends last night to a typical guido / guerilla juice head bar/club. Ironically, I've actually lost weight since my gym hiatus and I totally rocked a tight blue dress and boots last night. I had a blast getting my dance on, aside from creepy old guys trying to buy me shots. When will they learn?!?

Maybe try this

Instead of benching two days in a row you could bench saturday and do overhead sunday.

2 days a week is definitely do able, I have only been training properly 2 days a week for the last 4 months. Not made staggering gains but still seeing some improvement.

What about Fridays, quick session before hitting the clubs?
If you train Saturday & Sunday I would try get as much time between as possible. Like train Saturday morning early then Sunday evening. Don't stress is too much though just get to the gym as much as you can.

Extra hours at work, must mean they like what your doing?

I'm lifting 2 days a week at the mo, as long as you push it and make those days count you'll progress...

Some people say that Valentines day is the optimal day to restart a training log.

Haha I wish I saw this earlier. I don't work out consistently enough to post. I started doing Insanity / bodyweight workouts last week. If I continue to keep it up maybe I'll start a new log.

Miss you all.

you got that the wrong way round. Having to regularly update a log will help you train consistently :)
