1st session w/ my spanking new 13mm strength shop lifting belt. thanks to BUZZ!!

Image

well it's an AWESOME belt! a little tough to get on and off, but makes a HUGE difference. so sturdy! no more worrying that the velcro is going to come loose. Can;t wait to do dead lifts with it on Friday..

WED:
morning chin-ups: 14 (just missed #15 by an inch or 2)
squats: 5x5x280
bench: 5/5/4x200, 1/2x215
bb rows: 3x5x175
disco....

best Bench session i've had in a long while too. again it may have been the belt helping. (I usually take my belt off during Bench press.)

Stoatyone: it's a mysterious Finnish expression that you need to get in your vocabulary.

and thanks Frostfire!

FRI:
chin-ups: 10
squat: 3x3x315
OHP: 3x5x150
shrugs: 10x245
DL: 3/1x375
dips: 5x10x(bw+10)

squat reps @315 were decent. still not 100% to depth though. gotta check my camera.

reps on DL went nicely. got 3 solid reps @ 375. I think I need to loosen the new belt by 1 notch though. need to experiment.

yeah. i know it's frowned upon here. and they're torn up pretty badly now. Chaulk just wont work at my house. will be too messy. don;t need the grief from the wife.

OK, low energy week. part has to do with a cyst i've had on my upper back (just to the left of my spine) which has never caused me issues over the past 3/4yrs i've had it. but it got infected and swelled up 2 weeks ago and somewhat painful/uncomfortable.

it doesn't help that it's right where i keep the barbell during squats. so i've been altering my BB location and grip so it sits below the cyst.

well went to the doctor to have it removed today. pretty nasty. but should feel better soon. I'll take today off and maybe do some dreaded front squats on Friday.

MON:
squats: 5x10x255
bench: 5/4/4x200, 1F/1x215
bb rows: 3x5x175

TUE:
crossfit/cardio: pushups, med. ball crunches, speed rope = 17:42
disco weights: db arnolds, curls, skullz

sorry to hear that about the cist :(

as for the mess with chalk, get yourself some liquid chalk as that makes hardly any mess (most gyms that don't allow chalk allow liquid chalk). I imagine that would add a bit to the deadlift on account of you being able to grip harder without gloves. I use 'liquid grip' but i mean liquid chalk is liquid chalk, get the cheapest you can.
