Manchester meetup November 12

Postby Talyn » Wed Oct 19, 2011 9:33 pm

Baldy & I are going to Manchester the weekend of November 11-13 to lift heavy things with JP.

We are planning on training at the olympic sports gym on the Saturday, possibly do some strongman stuff.

Is there anyone else who fancies a trip, we could make a mini strength gathering out of it?

Alternatively, there will be plenty of food being eaten, so if you don't want to hit the gym you are welcome to come along and catch up for a meal!

Lets get it on!

Is OSG and falafel the only thing worth doing in Manchester? Other idea was to go to Liverpool on Sunday, its a very rough plan with no idea of what we will do when we get there. Liverpool just sounds like the kind of place I need to say I have visited.

Where are the other vegan locals to give us ideas?

Excellent. I am also keen to check out these curryhouses you so regularly frequent.

Not sure what's happening Sunday but I should be up for a second session.

Exactly take a ferry across the Mersey, do some other stuff then eat at egg, plan is coming together!

too right it will be man!

and maybe you can find something there to do too - they have strength and conditioning specialist stuff there too (though most of it is on the floor below). Kettlebells etc are there of course.

will be great to see you again!

OK excellent. Yeah I'd be keen to try out some of the specialist stuff they've got.

Have they got a prowler? Always wanted to try a proper one.

I am off work on 13th Nov so if people are planning on a visit to Liverpool, let me know. I can highly recommend the sunday roasts at Mello Mello, amazing! Plus vegan cake too :D I won't be in a fit state for any lifting owing to night out before, but am up for eating.
