Welcome! Awesome video.
I used to live in Troy, NY, but never saw anything like "timber sports". That is so cool!
"The worker has the right to leave his boss, but can she do it? And if she does quit him, is it in order to lead a free life; where she will have no master but herself? No, she leaves to sell herself to another employer. She's driven by the same hunger. Thus the worker's liberty is only a theoretical freedom, lacking any means of realization; an utter falsehood."

that 2nd video is amazing. that fall wasn't any fun especially with a sharp axe in hand. i've had similar scary moments climbing to platforms with a running chainsaw. be careful and have fun.

you've got some ripped shoulders and arms. impressive. i'm sure many folks would love to follow a training log.
No the falls weren't fun. :( Kept finding bruises a week or so after the fact. What do you do that involves climbing with chainsaws??

and awww, shucks! Thanks for the compliment. I've been perusing the training log section a little bit to see what others are up to. I'll see what I can do. ;)

Very cool! Yeah I could understand cedar being a bit bothersome to deal with.

In Basque Country -and other northern spain areas as well- they have a similar thing, it's has been a traditional competition in rural areas for centuries. A lot of stuff on youtube if you type "aizkolari".

By the way, awesome videos/sport!
