Is anyone into making homemade tahini? I'm still trying different recipes (basically changing the type of oil) but some of the results has been quite good.

I like the bitter taste of the dark tahini, but I guess it's supposed to be used in small amounts while cooking, not to be spread over toasts like peanut butter and stuff like that.
I accidentally replaced all of my blood with coffee.

gosh I prefer the taste of the dark one, i think it's unhulled - it has a toastier flavour to me?

I've heard soaking the sesame seeds first takes out the bitterness, but it would also affect the shelf life, would need to use within a week I reckon. Maybe you could make some with soaked sesame seeds, then freeze in ice cube trays and just take a couple of cubes out as you need them
