While I am still hoping that I will be able to make it over for the 2012 VF week in Tuscany - it really doesn't seem too practical for me. And anyway, it would be great to have some stuff happening on this side of the puddle too! I am always interested in meeting other vegans as well as participating in & helping out with events. How about you? Want to put something together? What would help you be most likely to partipate in a gathering of some sort?

I would love to try this again!
I tried a few years back, and it was not a success at all. Only a few locals showed up, and it was weak, at best.
I cannot go far, though. But I can help plan, if someone else is willing to take the lead this time around.

I am very happy that you are the first to reply! I was thinking of you when I posted & consider your participation in any NA-VFW type gathering to be pretty much essential. I would also love to meet you and your family of course!

I skimmed through the 2009 Ann Arbor gathering notes & would greatly appreciate hearing your thoughts on why that didnt really come together & what we can do differently this time to ensure more participation. For one thing, how far is too far for you personally to travel? Ann Arbor still seems like a great option to me - particularly with you there. If you are up for hosting again, I would like to come out there!

I would also like to help make one or more VF events happen out here in Cascadia. Portland seems ideal to me but there are certainly other great options too. I would love to see a traveling VF gathering where we spent a day or two in a several places! Here in Cascadia we have several very vegan-friendly cities all within a fairly short distance of each other that are well connected by public transit so it is very easy to do.

So dear readers, what will get *you* involved?

Right now I am just sharing my interest in seeing gatherings happen (including more local events such as potlucks, hikes, etc) and nothing is definite.

That said, when and where would you most like to see a NA-VFW type gathering occur? What can I/ we do to help encourage you to come over?

As always, I encourage folks to come visit me, Portland and Cascadia any time!

And after you visit please take me back to Sweden with you!
