guys
two friends of mine are going to london with their child (8 years old) in october from the 17th to the 20th. they are searching for a hotel, not too far from the center and at a reasonable price. they could only find rooms for over 100 euros / night. any suggestion? a bed&breakfast would be ok too.
cheers
i'm focusing on some kind of stuff

Unfortunately, at that price (< €100) you're either going to be close to the airport, or somewhere not overly nice.
I will keep looking though and let you know.

Perhaps a family friendly hostel or CouchSurfing.com host?

They won't find anything in central London for that price unless there's a last minute cancellation.

True, that's my choice at Heathrow when I have an early flight.
Quality = lowest of the low, mind.

Worth trying some hotels in our old 'hood (Bounds Green/Muswell Hill/...) if they'tr on the Pic line they're OK for Heathrow and only 20mins from the centre.
Or out Wembley way, maybe the chain hotels like Ibis could have offers if there's nothing on at the stadium. Wembley's not far from the ctr either.
