Sun - 6 miles, should have been longer but was feeling a bit tight (calves & quads) .. need more stretching. At least I have done 6 runs this week though - between 36 and 40 miles, so this is good but I need to up the mileage slowly to keep from any injury.

Hey Mr Zip :)

Yeah I've got a few ultras lined up for Jan / Feb / Mar.. so the weekly target will get up to about 60 miles (which is roughly my 'injury' limit) I was planning a big ultra (145 miles) that I DNF'ed a few years ago - but 2 days ago had some news that means I can't do it next year. So I'm happy to nail a few 30 - 50 mile ultras, and then enjoy some normal triathlons next summer :)

OK .. So that was a month of wedding, honeymoon and all that jazz (still did some training, including on a treadmill on my tiny island in the Maldives on honeymoon).. but it was a bit disjointed. So now there is no excuse not to log all my miles :)

- Sat 5 miles to loosen up
- Sun 4 miles (not loose! I was a bit stiff!)
- Mon Off
- Tue 10 mile bike (reccy of running race I'm race director for)

Tue - 7 miles with the club with efforts

Hey Mr C. :) A very patchy year with my time off / house move / wedding & now wife's pregnancy. Short answer, no. I was planning on building to a long ultra next year (so a fair few 35 - 60 milers to get me in shape for that).. but it's 2 weeks after my wife is due so that's out! I'm hoping that the next month or 2 will mean more consistent training and then I can get a couple of ultras in early next year before the little one arrives. Nothing in the diary sucks!

Hope your 2 kids and training is going well ;) Sorry I haven't been stopping by anyone else's training logs recently (very selfish!) ... I'll make amends :)

Congrats on both the wedding and your wife's pregnancy! Shame not to have anything to work towards, but it's all for good reasons :)
