Knee plays up when I squat

Postby Asleep on a sunbeam » Wed Jul 27, 2011 1:42 pm

It's mainly my left knee, I've not noticed it in my right knee.
When I go down to the point of my bottom and knee being in line/parallel to the ground, or even close to it, the outside ligament (the lateral collateral ligament?) moves. It feels just, wrong.
The movement is at the bottom of my knee, as if it's clicking into two different positions, one just below the other.

Does anyone else get this?
Is it something I should be worried about?

Should I stop squatting?

The same thing happens if I do lunges (which have in the past given me dull knee aches, I can't remember which knee though).

Thanks a lot, AOAS.

I have no idea, is it sore?
History of injuries?
Can you go see a physio?

It's not always sore but it can be, I don't really have any history with it, and I'm not sure?
Do you think it's worth seeing my GP about it?
