I'd say that gives exactly the RIGHT image! I hate the myth of po-faced vegans waffling on about statistics, when most of the vegans I know are downright up for a laugh.
On a related note, I got talking to a sports massage therapist at a birthday event the other night, who started going on about the difference in value between fish supplements and fish oil to weight lifters, so I interrupted to point out that lots of vegans are into lifting and compete in strength events and she looked at me as if I'd just said summat really weird.
So even just having muscular vegans mucking around and looking cheerful and approachable is outreach in itself, methinks.
