Well I am by no means falling off the band wagon at all but didn't want to start a new thread. How many of you have the odd lapse every now and again?

I've been vegan (diet wise- working on the rest!) since Feb and I've been very vigilant. Get the odd craving every now and again but most of the time animal foods now repulse me. But someone just offered me a chocolate brownie and I ate the damn thing without thinking! Like a moment of madness but I clicked just after eating it and then I was well pissed off. It was literally seconds after a training session so maybe my brain was just fixated on food of any kind. It's happened a few times though and each time it was when I was offered something - I wouldn't dream of actually buying such things! I'm not trying to be polite or anything, it's not a conscious decision at all.

Did this happen to anybody else here every now and again?

Of course. I've eatenchips I've been offered etc.. without thinking to check and then realise what i've done after/while eating it and feel pretty stupid for not checking. But being vegans not about being perfect, so don't beat yourself up about it.

+1 and I have bought stuff I assumed was vegan then found out it wasnt :(
Don't beat yourself up about it, do the best you can. It gets easier the longer you do it.

Yep. Went through a tube of some soya based fake-bacon bits before I realised carmine was another word for cochineal. The longer you do this, the more able you are to surround yourself with stuff so the easiest things to eat/wear/drink etc are vegan. Take it steady eh?
