... once in a life time experience...

I haven't got much interest in sport as a spectator at the best of times, but this is what would really put me off going to the Olympics.
I watched the Tour of Britain as it came within a mile of my house a couple of years ago and it was interesting standing around with a few other cyclists waiting for the race to come past.
Sitting in an Olympic stadium surrounded by people who have never been to their local athletics track and are treating it like an Abba reunion or visit from the pope would ruin the atmosphere.

BGW has exactly summed up why I'm not interested.

Also the fact that the "we will create thousands of jobs and new homes" argument was key to them getting the go-ahead, but as soon as it was convenient, the new homes were scaled right back and the jobs largely became voluntary posts.

I'm interested. I live only an hour and a half from London so I could train it.

I would be interested to know what you get for the cheaper/ more moderately priced seats.

Would be an enjoyable experience I think.

What a complicated system and it only works with VISA? Not really sure how it even works fully.
I applied for a number of things, lord knows what will happen if I get them all. My credit card will probably melt.

Bollocks.
Due to the overwhelming demand for tickets, we are sorry that you have not been allocated the tickets you requested. We can confirm that we have
not taken any payment from you.

I got the same email. Luckily a mate and I had an arrangement to go for tickets for the same event and if we both got tickets we'd take the wives. He got tickets for the men's 94kg weightlifting A session, so I'll hopefully get to see Kolecki and Ilin go head to head again, injuries permitting.
